Oh... my god. I am in love with this guy. He's a new acquaintance of mine. Meet Vexorum. He's as vain as vain can be, but when you look like that, who can blame you? Of course, such vivid markings in a Shurkai can only mean one thing... inbreeding.

This time I went the lazy route and used a scale texture I found on dA (see the artist's comment for the link)... because, damn it, it looked so perfect. I definitely could have done it myself if I'd been doing this on paper, but since it's digital and I'm doing all my work on the comp with a mouse, I thought I'd make it easier on myself this once

Commissions or trades?
You're right about the scales. I tried doing a similar pattern over the light parts, but it seemed to 'loud'. I wanted to have scales, but didn't want the spotty-type markings, and that's the only good scale brush I had
